ANSWER:-Heart disease begins with damage to the lining and inner layers of the coronary (heart) arteries. It may be due to elevated cholesterol in the blood, high blood pressure, high amounts of sugar in the blood (Diabetes), Blood vessel inflammation, mainly due to oxidative stress.
Heart disease affects the blood vessels and cardiovascular system. Numerous problems can result from this, many of which are related to a process called atherosclerosis, a condition that develops when plaque builds up in the walls of the arteries. Q7- What are the causes of High Blood Pressure

What is blood Pressure?

Our body needs to regulate the blood for transporting oxygen and other nutrients to all the parts of our body. Without blood flow our body parts would stop functioning. To supply blood in various intricate parts our body needs a pump called heart. The function of heart is to regulate this blood supply by increasing or decreasing pumping rate through different pipes called arteries or blood vessels. This flow has to overcome resistance in blood vessels and hence our body has blood pressure.
The blood pressure is governed by various factors Blood Volume – amount of blood to be pumped (higher the flow, higher the heart output) Resistance to flow -The higher the resistance, the higher the arterial pressure upstream from the resistance to blood flow
Viscosity - If the blood is thicker, in arterial pressure will be more Hypertension or high blood pressure is caused mainly when there is no enough space (area) for blood to flow through arteries either because of above factors. Oxidative Stress triggers a decrease in the diameter of the blood vessels, consequently increasing blood pressure by creating plaque.
There is difference in elevated blood pressure during exercise or exertion and hypertension. The former is momentary rise while the latter is extended elevated blood pressure. High blood pressure puts strain on the heart, leading to hypertensive heart disease and coronary artery disease if not treated.
What are the Causes of High Blood Pressure?

Oxidative stress is main cause for elevated blood pressure.  Following factors give rise to oxidative stress
  • Pollution
  • Smoking
  • alcohol
